■…2002年 1月 6日 (Sun).......Natural aquarium

Can you imagine "natural aquarium"? Today we got on a ship which has glass walls in the bottom of the ship. As you know， Cancun is also famous for coral reef. I didn't know but it is the second largest coral reef in the world. The biggest is "Great Barrier Reef" in Australia. It was amazing! We could see so many corals， of course， and also see many kinds of fish which are not so familiar to us. Tour guide spoke both Spanish and English， but everything was informed at first in Spanish then we were always late a little bit... But the time went by， we got used to follow people who could understand Spanish. I mean when Spanish speaking people moved to the right side， we immediately moved to the same side. The most popular fish was a manta ray. We saw many and actually they were interesting. We could see one of them were eating sea grasses. And its face and mouth was so cute! I hope I did NOT miss taking photos but the result will be given after I go back to the US... Anyway we have one more whole day in Mexico. I really hope no more trouble... 今日は水中遊覧船（船底がガラス張りで海中が見える）に乗って未知への冒険。 カンクンの珊瑚礁って世界で２番目にでかいらしくて、とにかくもうすご過ぎでしたよ。珊瑚礁はもちろん、見た事もない魚の豊富な事と言ったらほおっ・・（うっとり） ただ、ガイドさんの説明がスペイン語→英語の順なのでどうしてもワンテンポ遅れ見逃してしまう私達。そのうち慣れて来てコツを掴み、スペイン語圏の人達が右に行けば私達もすかさず右へ移動！ さすが日本人、敏速な事忍者のごとしなのさ。 ちなみに皆さんご存知のマンタにもたくさん出会えました。中には海草を食べてる奴もいたんですが、その顔と口元のカワイイ事と言ったらまるで ながのひさこさん の様でしたよ！！ （超意訳） しっかりカメラに納めときましたが、果たしてきちんと写っているのやら・・ まあ全ては帰ってからのお楽しみ。 さてさて、いよいよメキシコ滞在もあと１日となりました。 神様、お願いです、 私達にこれ以上試練（トラブル）を与えるなかれ・・アーメン。 No(23)
